Mosul Operation: A Medieval Massacre

Mosul Operation: A Medieval Massacre | Mosul-destroyed-1024x611 | Human Rights War Propaganda World News

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described it this way weeks after US-led terror-bombing and Iraqi ground operations began last October – long before the worst horrors ongoing now.

US-orchestrated operations are being conducted under “conditions of absolute information blockade,” Zakharova explained.

Nothing was done to protect, evacuate or otherwise help civilians. They’ve been on their own in harm’s way without humanitarian or any other type aid or consideration for their welfare and safety since last October.

Hundreds of thousands remain trapped in the city. Others getting out risk their lives to do it – as endangered by US terror-bombing as ISIS fighters.

In the battle for Aleppo, Russia and Syria established humanitarian corridors – without aid from the UN or other countries. Great care was taken to avoid civilian casualties, why liberating the city entirely took so long.

Moscow ceased aerial operations in October 2016 to protect civilians, long before the battle for Aleppo was won in late December.

The West and supportive media scoundrels disgracefully portrayed a heroic Leningrad-type liberation as naked aggression.

They’re largely silent on the rape and destruction of Mosul. What’s reported falsely portrays liberation. Nothing about US terror-bombing mass murder. An orchestrated coverup of reality continues.

No help was provided for desperate city civilians, tapped in harm’s way. In months of fighting, likely thousands were massacred, countless others injured, hundreds of thousands displaced – by indiscriminate US terror-bombing and ground artillery fire.

Western media are complicit by silence with rare exceptions. On March 23, London’s Independent cited local media sources, saying Thursday airstrikes on Mosul caused “230” civilian deaths.

“A correspondent for Rudaw, a Kurdish news agency operating in northern Iraq, said that 137 people – most believed to be civilians – died when a bomb hit a single building in al-Jadida, in the western side of the city on Thursday.”

“Another 100 were killed nearby.  Some of the dead were taking shelter inside the homes,” according to Kurdish journalist Hevidar Ahmed, reporting from the scene of the massacre.

RT reported over 130 civilians massacred overnight in Mosul from US terror-bombing. The death toll could be much higher. Bodies are being pulled from rubble, a slow, arduous task.

According to a local eyewitness, “(t)he entire neighborhood was fleeing because of missiles that hit, so people had taken refuge here.”

“I didn’t know if it was a shelter. I didn’t know we couldn’t go there. My entire family is inside, 27 people. We pulled only one of them out and don’t know about the rest. Yes, he was dead.”

Civilians suffer most in all wars. Contempt for their agony and trauma in Mosul and other US war theaters compounds their desperation.

Surviving is a daily struggle. Many don’t make it. Others are scarred for life.

Coverup of Humanitarian Disaster in Mosul

Coverup of Humanitarian Disaster in Mosul | Iraq-Mosul-Syria | War Propaganda World News

US-led terror-bombing along with Iraqi ground forces are systematically destroying the city, not liberating it as claimed.

Western media scoundrels and international NGOs are ignoring a humanitarian disaster far worse than what affected East Aleppo.

Government and allied forces, greatly aided by Russian airpower, saved the lives of tens of thousands of defenseless Aleppo residents, held hostage by US-supported al-Nusra terrorists.

Media scoundrels misportrayed heroic efforts as aggression. Big Lies substituted for hard truths. Liberating Aleppo was a glorious triumph, one Syrians will long remember and commemorate, grateful to Russia for its vital help.

Last fall through December, John Kerry and other US officials disgracefully accused Russia and Syria of war crimes, ignoring horrendous ones committed by US forces in all its war theaters – by terror-bombing, special forces and other combat troops on the ground, along with terrorist fighters recruited as imperial foot soldiers.

Media scoundrels ignore genocidal high crimes committed by America and its rogue allies.

Last month, Sergey Lavrov “remind(ed) (his) Western counterparts about…the humanitarian” disaster in Mosul – “much worse than it was in eastern Aleppo,” he stressed, yet getting little or no Western media attention.

Before fighting escalated in recent weeks, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said “(t)he humanitarian situation continues to degrade.”

“People are running out of food. And the most terrifying thing is that no one knows what is to be further. The situation is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe.”

US-led Western nations are “out of touch with reality,” she added. Escalating ground fighting and US-led terror-bombing made things much worse.

Before its capture by US-supported ISIS fighters in mid-2014, Mosul had around 2.5 million residents. Less than one million remain, held hostage by terrorists.

Routes to the city were cut off months ago. Residents lack access to food, potable water, medical care and electricity. Conditions are dire.

Humanitarian groups haven’t entered besieged parts of the city in over two years. Desperate residents aren’t being helped.

During the battle for Aleppo, Russia and Syria made heroic efforts to supply humanitarian aid to trapped residents.

America, its rogue allies and the UN supplied nothing – nor are they aiding Mosul residents in need.

Indiscriminate terror-bombing and ground fighting continues causing large numbers of casualties, including a devastating toll on civilians, massacred in cold blood, media scoundrels ignoring the carnage – portraying mass slaughter and destruction as a liberating struggle.

According to Norwegian Refugee Council’s Becky Bakr Abdulla, “families…managing to come out are completely traumatized.”

“They’ve got nothing left. No homes…nothing. Their children have not attended school for over two years.”

“(T)hey’ve lost many of their loved ones and there are many, many examples of people who have actually died on their way out.” They never “made it to safety.”

Western media and the international community largely ignore the devastating humanitarian disaster, Abdullah added – shocking contempt for the lives and welfare of devastated people, suffering enormously because of US imperial war.

Interviewed by Sputnik News, a woman in the Hamam al Alil refugee camp appealed for desperately needed humanitarian aid. Without it, people “are going to die,” she said.

Camp conditions are deplorable. “We have no sanitation. The garbage needs to be removed. The water is very dirty. We can’t drink it.”

Conditions for Mosul residents remaining trapped is much worse. Terror-bombing and ground fighting continues taking many lives.

Maria Zakharova expressed outrage over the “hushing up of what is happening” – devastating fighting along with dire humanitarian conditions.

Since fighting began last October, around 100,000 residents managed to flee the city, risking their lives to do it.

An estimated 750,000 remain trapped. The US-led campaign in Syria is about regime change.

In Iraq, there’s none to change. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi serves as a convenient US puppet, supporting its imperial ravaging.

US Demands Raped Cambodia Repay War Debt

US Demands Raped Cambodia Repay War Debt | US-Demands-Raped-Cambodia-Repay-War-Debt | War Propaganda World News

During its war on Southeast Asia, America raped and destroyed Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Terror-bombing massacred civilians indiscriminately. A decade of merciless war took millions of lives, around eight million tons of ordnance used in Vietnam alone, threefold WW II’s tonnage – about 300 tons for every Vietnamese man, woman, child, infant, the elderly and infirm.

Herbicidal warfare was waged using deadly agent orange. Millions of gallons of dioxin-containing defoliant contaminated over five million acres. Exposure to minute amounts causes serious health problems or death.

Other terror-weapons were used, including napalm, white phosphorous, cluster bombs and depleted uranium.

Beginning in March 1969, Cambodia and Laos were secretly bombed, allegedly to destroy North Vietnamese and Viet Cong sanctuaries.

Terror-bombing took about 600,000 lives, mostly civilians, helping the Khmer Rouge gain power in 1975. Unspeakable horrors followed.

Thousands of US ground forces were involved, destroying dozens of towns, villages and hamlets, many thousands more killed, mostly defenseless noncombatants.

Historian Gabriel Kolko earlier said “(a)ll that the United States has the ability to accomplish…is to impose immeasurable suffering on people…”

In his “Anatomy of a War: Vietnam, the United States, and the Modern Historical Experience,” he quoted a US colonel, infamously saying “(w)e had to destroy the town to save it.”

Few Americans realize how much Southeast Asians suffered. Unexploded ordnance remains buried in fields, roads, forests, villages and rivers.

Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia were raped. Fundamental laws of war were violated. America remains unaccountable for decades of war crimes.

Washington demands Cambodia repay $500 million in “war debt” it claims was used for food. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen calls it “dirty money” – used by the US-backed Lon Nol regime for weapons.

America “dropped bombs on our heads and then they ask us to repay. When we do not repay, they tell the IMF not to lend us money,” Hun Sen explained.

He asked Washington to cancel the “dirty debt.” US officials refuse. Cambodian Daily journalist James Pringle said the nation “does not owe even a brass farthing to the US for help in destroying its people, its wild animals, its rice fields, and forest cover.”

America owes Cambodia and all other countries it raped and destroyed a debt that can never be repaid.

US Rules of Engagement

US Rules of Engagement | us-military | Military Special Interests War Propaganda World News

ROE define how force may be used in combat – what’s acceptable, unacceptable, under what conditions.

Geneva breaches and other laws of war fall outside of ROE. Military operations are governed by laws of war and international humanitarian law.

All nations are required to observe them. International and domestic laws universally recognize the right of self-defense in response to an attack or an imminent one.

Military necessity permits use of force not prohibited by the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC). Distinguishing between civilians and military targets v. civilians and non-military ones is required.

Proportionality prohibits disproportionate, indiscriminate force likely to cause damage or loss of civilian lives.

Precautions must be taken to avoid and minimize noncombatant casualties, as well as damage to non-military sites.

Under Fourth Geneva, civilians must be given “effective advance warning” and “neutralized zones” where they can be as protected as much as possible.

Fourth Geneva also prohibits collective punishment; destruction of private property; torture, cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, and other protections for noncombatants.

In all US wars, ROE violate core rule of law principles. Washington rules alone apply. Civilians in harm’s way have no place to hide.

Mass slaughter and destruction go on in all US war theaters, creating chaos and enormous human suffering.

During the 2003 Iraq war, US ROE authorized field commanders to kill every military-aged Iraqi in sight. Cold-blooded murder was officially OK’d.

The same policy is followed in Afghanistan, earlier in Libya, Yemen, Syria and Iraq – notably in the battle for Mosul.

Civilians are being slaughtered in cold blood, US terror-bombing striking residential areas and other non-military sites. Since the battle began last October, perhaps thousands of noncombatants perished. Pentagon claims otherwise are false.

RT’s Ruptly TV interviewed residents able to flee the city. One man said ISIS fighters “go on rooftops of the houses and the families (inside) don’t know. Then the aircraft come and bomb it,” burying families under rubble.

“We are asking for bombing specific targets. There are still families inside the houses and the aircraft keep bombing. We are asking the coalition planes to be specific when they bomb. They were bombing randomly,” he said.

Another resident said “(t)he planes waited until one of the Daesh walked out into the street and then they struck. The fighter was only injured, but 11 members of one family in the house next door were instantly killed.”

“They dropped leaflets over the city telling us not to worry about the strikes, saying that they were extremely precise and would not hurt the civilians,” another man said, adding:

“(I)t feels like the coalition is killing more people than” ISIS fighters.

America created and supports ISIS, al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups. Wars raging in multiple theaters aim to advance its imperium.

They’re not about humanitarian intervention or democracy building. Millions of casualties attest to what US belligerence is all about.

Turkey’s Erdogan Wants Northern Syria and Iraq Annexed

Turkey’s Erdogan Wants Northern Syria and Iraq Annexed | erdogan1 | War Propaganda World News

His aim is longstanding. In December 2015, heavily armed Turkish forces invaded Iraq, an act of aggression, occupying territory near Mosul, on the phony pretext of combating ISIS he supports.

His real aim is seizing the area’s valued oil fields, a prize he’s long coveted.

Last August, he invaded northern Syria, his aggression code-named Operation Euphrates Shield – aiding anti-government forces, combating Kurdish YPG fighters, not terrorists.

His forces seized Jarabulus in northwestern Syria straightaway, continued advancing east.

Last November, he said his goal is gaining control over “5,000 square km (1,900 square miles) including al-Bab, Manbij and Tell Rifaat, creating a national structure and army for this expanded area to provide solid control and to allow the refugees return to these areas jointly with EU, and after these, focusing on IS’s de facto capital Raqqa and” YPG Kurdish fighters.

In late November, he said he launched cross-border military operations “to end the rule of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.” Days later, he retracted his statement. He can’t undo what he said.

America and other rogue states support his aggression, the Pentagon saying it supports YPG fighters. Obama said Turkey is a “strong NATO ally.” He lied claiming both countries are working to defeat ISIS.

US-installed NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg “welcome(d) Turkey’s increasing efforts to fight against ISIL. Turkey has a right to defend itself,” he said, ignoring his naked aggression in two regional countries, along with his tyrannical homeland rule.

Assad calls Erdogan an “invader.” Russia expressed concern. Putin said his actions didn’t surprise. “Intelligence exists so we face few unexpected developments. We understood what was going on and where things would lead,” he explained.

Erdogan lied, calling his action an act of self-defense. “Our borders must be cleansed of Daesh,” he said – failing to explain he supports the terrorist group and others operating regionally.

Former UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon made similar comments, supporting aggression instead of denouncing  it.

Intervening on the territory of other nations is naked aggression, longstanding US policy, together with NATO and other rogue allies.

Senior Kurdish Democratic Union party member Ewwas Eli said Erdogan seeks control over Syrian sovereign territory. That’s what his cross-border incursion is all about.

His goals are political, using military means to achieve them. He wants a Kurdish federation in northern Syria prevented.

So he equates the PYD and its People’s Protection Units (YPG) with PKK fighters. Ankara calls them terrorists – a pretext to wage war on Kurds in three countries, besides saying he wants to “ensur(e) the safety of life and property of our citizens who live along our southern borders.”

The best way is by waging peace, not war.

US-Supported ISIS Using Chemical Weapons in Mosul

US-Supported ISIS Using Chemical Weapons in Mosul | Chemical-weapons-Islamic-State-Mosul | Government Corruption Human Rights War Propaganda World News

ICRC Middle East director Robert Mardini said patients treated in nearby Irbil show “clinical symptoms consistent with exposure to a blistering chemical agent.”

Affected men, women and children suffer from respiratory problems, blisters, coughing, vomiting, along with eye redness and irritation.

“The use of chemical weapons is absolutely prohibited under international humanitarian law. We are deeply alarmed by what our colleagues have seen, and we strongly condemn any use of chemical weapons, by any party, anywhere,” Mardini added.

ISIS and other US-supported terrorist groups used chemical weapons on numerous occasions in Iraq and Syria.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) wrongfully accused Syria’s government for using toxic agents.

It’s silent about clear evidence of ISIS use in Mosul, destroying its credibility as an independent organization.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov slammed the group, saying:

“A series of instances of chemical weapon use against the civilian population by ISIS militants registered last week in the city of Mosul was left unnoticed by the Western public. But what’s even more surprising is the ‘lukewarm’ attitude towards these facts on the part of the OPCW.”

It failed to act responsibly, sending no experts to investigate, nor did it issue a statement condemning what happened.

Long after US-supported terrorists used chemical weapons in the battle for Aleppo, the OPCW has yet to issue a report on its findings.

In cases where Syria is wrongfully accused, it relies on claims by anti-government sources as evidence.

On Friday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova explained “(w)e have been monitoring the situation since March 2013.”

Experts explained “after Mosul’s seizure by ISIS, (it) considerably expanded its capabilities to make poisonous substances.”

Chemical weapons US-supported terrorists used in Syria came from foreign sources. In some cases, these elements produced their own, using toxic substances.

Russia’s military found munitions with chemical agents, traces of white phosphorous and chlorine in East Aleppo, controlled by al-Nusra before its liberation.

The latter substance is simple to make. Attacks using it are a “trademark” of terrorist groups. Konashenkov earlier said “analysis of soil samples and fragments of artillery and ammunition confirm that terrorists used chemical weapons in Aleppo.”

They used them elsewhere in Syria and Iraq, little or nothing reported in the West about their culpability.

Syrian complaints to UN authorities about CWs used by terrorists against civilians and government forces go unaddressed.

Separately, in response to yesterday’s twin terrorist attacks in Damascus, killing dozens of civilians, injuring over 120 others, Syria demanded UN authorities condemn what happened.

World body leadership serves Western interests, failing to responsibly address US-led imperial wars, causing appalling human suffering affecting millions.

Global Leaders Rattle Their Sabers As The World Marches Toward War

Global Leaders Rattle Their Sabers As The World Marches Toward War | The-World-Marches-Toward-War-Public-Domain | Government Military Sleuth Journal Trump War Propaganda World News

Iran just conducted another provocative missile test, more U.S. troops are being sent to the Middle East, it was just announced that the U.S. military will be sending B-1 and B-52 bombers to South Korea in response to North Korea firing four missiles into the seas near Japan, and China is absolutely livid that a U.S. carrier group just sailed through contested waters in the South China Sea.  We have entered a season where leaders all over the globe feel a need to rattle their sabers, and many fear that this could be leading us to war.  In particular, Donald Trump is going to be under the microscope in the days ahead as other world leaders test his resolve.  Will Trump be able to show that he is tough without going over the edge and starting an actual conflict?

The Iranians made global headlines on Thursday when they conducted yet another ballistic missile test despite being warned by Trump on numerous occasions…

As tensions between the U.S. and Iran continue to mount, the semi-official news agency Tasnim is reporting that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has successfully conducted yet another ballistic missile test, this time from a navy vessel.  Called the Hormuz 2, these latest missiles are designed to destroy moving targets at sea at ranges up to 300 km (180 miles).

Reports on the latest test quotes Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force, who confirmed that “the naval ballistic missile called Hormuz 2 successfully destroyed a target which was 250 km away.”

The missile test is the latest event in a long-running rivalry between Iran and the United States in and around the Strait of Hormuz, which guards the entrance to the Gulf. About 20% of the world’s oil passes through the waterway, which is less than 40 km wide at its narrowest point.

So how will Trump respond to this provocation?

Will he escalate the situation?  If he does nothing he will look weak, but if he goes too far he could risk open conflict.

Elsewhere in the Middle East, things are already escalating.  It is being reported that “several hundred Marines” are on the ground in Syria to support an assault on the city of Raqqa, and another 1,000 troops could be sent to Kuwait to join the fight against ISIS any day now.  The following comes from Zero Hedge

While the Trump administration waits to decide if it will send 1,000 troops to Kuwait to fight ISIS, overnight the Washington Post reported that the US has sent several hundred Marines to Syria to support an allied local force aiming to capture the Islamic State stronghold of Raqqa. Defence officials said they would establish an outpost from which they could fire artillery at IS positions some 32km (20 miles) away. US special forces are already on the ground, “advising” the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) alliance according to the BBC.

The defence officials told the Washington Post that the Marines were from the San Diego-based 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and that they had flown to northern Syria via Djibouti and Kuwait. They are to set up an artillery battery that could fire powerful 155mm shells from M777 howitzers, the officials said. Another marine expeditionary unit carried out a similar mission at the start of the Iraqi government’s operation to recapture the city of Mosul from IS last year.

Meanwhile, China is spitting mad for several reasons.  For one, the Chinese are absolutely furious that South Korea has allowed the U.S. to deploy the THAAD missile defense system on their soil…

China is lashing out at South Korea and Washington for the deployment of a powerful missile defense system known as the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, or THAAD, deposited at the Osan Air Base in South Korea on Monday evening.

The deployment of THAAD follows several ballistic missile tests by North Korea in recent months, including the launch of four missiles on Monday, three of which landed in the sea off the coast of Japan. Though THAAD would help South Korea protect itself from a North Korean missile attack, China is vocally protesting the deployment of the system, claiming it upsets the “strategic equilibrium” in the region because its radar will allow the United States to detect and track missiles launched from China.

Of course the U.S. needed to do something, because the North Koreans keep rattling their sabers by firing off more ballistic missiles toward Japan.

But it is one thing to deploy a missile defense system, and it is another thing entirely to fly strategic nuclear bombers into the region.

So if the Chinese were upset when THAAD was deployed, how will they feel when B-1 and B-52 bombers start showing up in South Korea?

Earlier this week, trigger-happy Kim pushed his luck once more when he fired off four ballistic missiles into the seas near Japan.

Now US military chiefs are reportedly planning to fly in B-1 and B-52 bombers – built to carry nuclear bombs – to show America has had enough.

South Korea and the US have also started their annual Foal Eagle military exercise sending a strong warning to North Korea over its actions.

A military official said 300,000 South Korean troops and 15,000 US personnel are taking part in the operation.

The Trump administration has openly stated that all options “are on the table” when it comes to North Korea, and that includes a military strike.

It has been more than 60 years since the Korean War ended, but many are concerned that we may be closer to a new Korean War than we have been at any point since that time.

And of course our relationship with China is tumbling precariously downhill as well.  Another reason why the Chinese are extremely upset with the Trump administration is because a U.S. Navy carrier battle group led by the USS Carl Vinson sailed past islands that China claims in the South China Sea just a few weeks ago.

In China, the media openly talks about the possibility of war with the United States over the South China Sea.  Most Americans are not even aware that the South China Sea is a very serious international issue, but over in China this is a major focus.

And the U.S. military has recently made several other moves in the region that have angered the Chinese

Also in February, the U.S. sent a dozen F-22 Raptor stealth fighters to Tindal AB in northern Australia, the closest Australian military airbase to China, for coalition training and exercises. It’s the first deployment of that many F-22s in the Pacific.

And if that didn’t get the attention of the Chinese government, the U.S. just tested four Trident II submarine-launched ballistic missiles during a nuclear war exercise, sending the simulated weapons 4,200 miles from the coast of California into the mid-Pacific. It’s the first time in three years the U.S. has conducted tests in the Pacific, and the first four-missile salvo since the end of the Cold War.

I can understand the need to look tough, but eventually somebody is going to go too far.

If you are familiar with my work, then you know that I believe that war is coming.  Things in the Middle East continue to escalate, and it is only a matter of time before a great war erupts between Israel and her neighbors.  Meanwhile, U.S. relations with both Russia and China continue to deteriorate, and this is something that I have been warning about for a very long time.

We should hope for peace, but we should also not be blind to the signs of war that are starting to emerge all over the planet.  Relatively few people anticipated the outbreak of World War I and World War II in advance, and I have a feeling that the same thing will be true for World War III.

Legislation to Stop Arming Terrorists Introduced in US Senate

Legislation to Stop Arming Terrorists Introduced in US Senate | isis-1024x576 | Government Government Corruption

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard earlier said “(w)hen it comes to the war against terrorists, I’m a hawk. When it comes to counterproductive wars of regime change, I’m a dove.”

In January, she called for ending Washington’s “regime change war in Syria now” – after spending a week-long visit to Damascus, Aleppo and Beirut, learning firsthand about ongoing horrors, devastating the lives and welfare of millions of Syrians, victims of US imperial viciousness.

Last December, her press release announced Stop Arming Terrorists legislation she introduced, saying it “would prohibit the US government from using American taxpayer dollars to provide funding, weapons, training, and intelligence support to groups like the Levant Front, Fursan al Ha and other allies of Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, al-Qaeda and ISIS, or to countries who are providing direct or indirect support to those same groups.”

On the House floor, she said “(u)nder US law it is illegal for any American to provide money or assistance to al-Qaeda, ISIS or other terrorist groups.”

Yet the “CIA…funnel(s) weapons and money through Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar and others who provide direct and indirect support to groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda.”

She wants this outrage stopped, US foreign interventionism against sovereign independent countries like Syria, Iraq and others ended.

On March 10, her press release said her “Stop Arming Terrorist Act has been introduced in the US Senate by Senator Rand Paul.”

“The bipartisan legislation (H.R.608 and S.532) would prohibit any Federal agency from using taxpayer dollars to provide weapons, cash, intelligence, or any support to al-Qaeda, ISIS and other terrorist groups, and it will prohibit the government from funneling money and weapons through other countries who are directly or indirectly supporting terrorists.”

“Rather than spending trillions of dollars on regime change wars in the Middle East, we should be focused on defeating terrorist groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda, and using our resources to invest in rebuilding our communities here at home.”

“The fact that American taxpayer dollars are being used to strengthen the very terrorist groups we should be focused on defeating should alarm every Member of Congress and every American. We call on our colleagues and the Administration to join us in passing this legislation.”

Legislation introduced prohibits use of federal funds to aid terrorist groups, including providing weapons, munitions, weapons platforms, intelligence, logistics, training and cash.

It forbids aiding nations involved in supporting terrorist groups. It requires the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to designate banned organizations by determining:

“(a) the individuals and groups that are associated with, affiliated with, adherents to or cooperating with al-Qaeda, Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, or ISIS;”

“(b) the countries that are providing assistance covered in this bill to those individuals or groups.”

It requires “the DNI to review and update the list of countries and groups to which assistance is prohibited every six months, in consultation with the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees, as well as the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence” – along with “brief(ing) Congress on the determinations.”

Sadly, Gabbard and legislation co-sponsors are tilting at windmills, challenging powerful interests.

America’s military/industrial/media complex demands permanent imperial wars for wealth and dominance. Nothing stands in the way of pursuing them – neither laws, if enacted, or anything else.

Nonviolent grassroots revolution is the only chance for responsible change. Nothing else can work, voting a waste of time.

US Mission Creep in Syria and Iraq

US Mission Creep in Syria and Iraq | mission-creep-syria-iraq-war | Military War Propaganda World News

(image: Youtube)

According to reports, around 5,000 US troops operate in Iraq-with so-called permission from the puppet regime it installed.

Hundreds of US special forces are in Syria, now joined by unknown numbers of combat marines, America’s total military presence not officially announced, the Pentagon citing operational security.

US forces invaded Syria illegally, without permission from Damascus, on the phony pretext of combating ISIS America created and supports.

On March 9, the Army Times reported an additional 2,500 US combat troops are being sent to Kuwait – likely in preparation for America’s greater intervention in Syria and Iraq.

They “include elements of the 82nd Airborne Division’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team.” According to General Joseph Anderson, they’ll be “postured…to do all things Mosul, Raqqa, and in between.”

The Army Times said “about 6,000 American troops (are) spread between Iraq and Syria.” Many it’s many more than believed.

CENTCOM chief General Joseph Votel said conventional US combat troops are needed in Syria – perhaps to establish a permanent American presence, aiding terrorists combat government forces.

Likely greater numbers of US combat troops are heading for Iraq, escalating conflict in both countries. According to Votel, they’ll be a larger and longer military presence in both theaters – on the phony pretext of combating ISIS.

Mission creep followed Trump’s ascension to power. His campaign opposition to US regional wars was deceptive political bluster.

His first 50 days in office indicate continued US aggression in multiple theaters – perhaps new adventurism planned ahead.

Reckless US imperial wars on his watch perhaps head him for Nobel Peace Prize recognition like his predecessor.

Greater US Aggression Under Trump Coming?

Greater US Aggression Under Trump Coming? | donald-trump4 | Military Trump US News War Propaganda

Nearly straightaway in office, Trump proved he’s the latest in a long line of US warrior presidents.

He’s continuing naked aggression in multiple theaters, upping the stakes in Syria and Yemen, increasing numbers of US combat troops in both countries, perhaps more headed for Iraq.

At the urging of CENTCOM chief General Joseph Votel, he may increase America’s military presence in Afghanistan.

Earlier this week, a joint statement by US, UK and French ambassadors to Libya expressed concern about escalated violence in and around the country’s oil installations – urging a “unified military force” to protect them.

Will US-led NATO combat troop deployments follow? Candidate Trump criticized wasting trillions of dollars on warmaking, creating a mess in all theaters, depriving the country of vitally needed revenue for homeland needs.

President Trump is like the Clintons, Bush/Cheney and Obama, continuing imperial wars, escalating them, perhaps planning new aggression, shunning peace and stability – along with breaking his promise to cooperate with Russia in combating terrorism.

He’s aiding, not combating it, terror-bombing infrastructure in Syria and Iraq, massacring civilians, perhaps intending larger US combat troop deployments to both countries than already there.

In Thursday testimony before Senate Armed Services Committee members, General Votel said Russia’s involvement in Syria (legally at the behest of its government) “negatively impacted the regional balance of power,” adding:

“Iran has expanded cooperation with Russia in Syria in ways that threaten US interests in the region…aspir(ing) to be a regional hegemon and its forces and proxies oppose US interests in Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Gaza and Syria, and seek to hinder achievement of US objectives in Afghanistan and some Central Asian States.”

Will the Islamic Republic be Washington’s next imperial target? Longstanding plans call for regime change. An earlier color revolution failed.

War plans were prepared years ago, updated to stay current to the times. Anti-Russia comments are worrisome. Pentagon, Capitol Hill and administration hawks may yearn for confrontation.

America’s military footprint abroad has nothing to do with combating terrorism as claimed – everything to do with advancing its imperium, along with waging endless wars to feed the ravenous appetite of its military/industrial/media complex on the phony pretext of humanitarian intervention and democracy building.

Post-WW II, nations America attacked threatened no one. They were targeted for their sovereign independence. Others not subservient to US interests are on its hit list.

Hostility toward Russia, China and Iran should scare everyone. Hillary’s defeat didn’t end the risk of nuclear war.

Neocons infesting Washington make the unthinkable possible by design or accident. Will America’s rage for unchallenged global dominance doom us all?
