Upping the Stakes in Syria

After over six years of US aggression in Syria, falsely called civil war, nothing surprises.

On Sunday, Syria’s military said the so-called US-led “international coalition” downed one of its warplanes during a combat mission against ISIS terrorists about 30 km south of Raqqa.

The pilot is missing. It’s unknown if he’s alive or dead. A Syrian military statement said the following:

“The attack stresses coordination between the US and ISIS, and it reveals the evil intentions of the US in administrating terrorism and investing it to pass the US-Zionist project in the region.”

“Such aggressions would not affect the Syrian Arab army in its determination to continue the fight against ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organizations and to restore security and stability to all Syrian territories.”

A US-controlled so-called Operation Inherent Resolve statement lied, saying “a Syrian regime SU-22 dropped bombs near SDF fighters south of Tabqah and, in accordance with rules of engagement and collective self-defense of Coalition partnered forces, was immediately shot down by a US F/A-18E.”

The action was the latest US-led lawless attack on Syria’s military, fighting to liberate the country from US-backed terrorists – ISIS and all other anti-government forces. No so-called “moderate rebels” exist.

Syrian forces expanded operations in northern areas, liberating three villages near the Atreya-Resafa-Raqqa highway.

Washington wants Syrian sovereignty destroyed, the country balkanized, northern and southern areas separated from Damascus under US control.

Russia’s only response so far was Sergey Lavrov calling on the Trump administration to respect Syrian territorial integrity and refrain from unilateral actions in the country – comments falling on deaf ears in Washington.

Downing a Syrian warplane after earlier US attacks on its military ups the stakes in the country, escalating conflict Russia continues going all-out to resolve diplomatically.

On Monday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, international affairs advisor to Iranian parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, blamed Saudi Arabian security services for the June 7 terrorist incidents in Tehran, saying:

“The existing documents are proof of the US and Saudi Arabia’s continued manipulation of terrorism in the region and the world. Their strategy and policy (are) to draw out regional crises in order to carry out their own agendas…”

After the Tehran incidents, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said his country’s intelligence shows Riyadh “actively” supports terrorist groups along Iran’s eastern and western borders.

In retaliation for the June 7 attacks, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) launched ground-to-ground missiles, targeting an ISIS Deir Ezzor command post.

An IRGC statement said “(t)he spilling of innocent blood will not go unanswered. (N)o efforts (will be spared) to defend (Iran’s) national security and obviate plots as well as anti-security phenomena.”

Along with Russia, Iran actively aids Syrian and allied forces combat the scourge of US-backed ISIS and other terrorist groups in the country.

Self-defense is a universally recognized right – naked aggression the highest of high crimes. America and its rogue allies stand guilty as charged. Their alliance is humanity’s greatest threat.

On Monday, Almasdar News reported “(i)ntense clashes…between” Syrian and US-backed forces west of Raqqa, saying:

Government troops “attempted to cross (their) front lines…to rescue their fallen pilot (if alive). (T)hey were turned” back.

Fierce fighting is ongoing between both sides “near the key town of Resafa in western Al-Raqqa.”

Hawkish generals running Trump’s military operations in Syria and elsewhere want endless wars continued – at some point, risking direct confrontation with Russia.

More Evidence of US Support for ISIS

Straightaway after Trump’s January 20 swearing in ceremony, a White House statement said defeating ISIS and other terrorist groups is the administration’s “highest priority,” adding:

“To defeat and destroy these groups, we will pursue aggressive joint and coalition military operations when necessary.”

“In addition, the Trump Administration will work with international partners to cut off funding for terrorist groups, to expand intelligence sharing, and to engage in cyberwarfare to disrupt and disable propaganda and recruiting.”

Instead of “defeat(ing) and destroy(ing) these groups,” the Trump administration actively supports them.

Photographic evidence shows ISIS firing US-made TOW-guided anti-tank missiles against government forces.

In last year’s battle for Aleppo, al-Nusra terrorists used these weapons, according to Russian General Sergei Rudskoi – supplied by the Obama administration.

ISIS was earlier supplied with shoulder-launched, man-portable, easy to operate, surface-to-air missiles (SAMS), able to down helicopters and low-flying aircraft.

These weapons are still likely being supplied to the group and other anti-government forces. Washington and its rogue allies covertly support the scourge they claim to oppose.

Numerous times Bashar al-Assad accused Western and regional countries of supporting ISIS and other terrorist groups combating government forces.

On Saturday, his political and media advisor Bouthiana Shaaban accused Washington of arming and financing ISIS, flagrantly violating Security Council Resolution 2253 (December 2015) – sponsored by Russia and America, unanimously adopted.

It covers an asset freeze, travel ban, arms embargo and lists criteria for designating ISIS, al-Qaeda, and “associated individuals, groups, undertaking and entities” as terrorist groups.

It states parties responsible for committing, organizing or supporting terrorist acts must be held accountable. It called on member states to cooperate fully in investigating incidents involving these groups.

It stressed the obligation of member states to prevent their nationals or persons in their countries from aiding them economically and/or militarily.

Russia and Iran scrupulously observe its principles. America and its rogue allies repeatedly violate them.

Separately, according to Libya’s Al-Manar TV, Iraqi forces regained control of the strategically important al-Waleed checkpoint on the Syria border – located near the al-Tanf border crossing, along the important Syrian/Iraqi/Jordanian triangle.

Last week, Syrian Defense Ministry officials held talks with their Iraqi counterparts in Baghdad on coordinating border security and combating “a common enemy, which is the terrorist Daesh (ISIS) organization,” adding:

“We discussed holding Syria-Iraq borders to maintain pressure on the terrorist enemy and establishing a joint operations center through which both sides can coordinate.”

On Saturday, Syrian General Mohammad Issa said “(s)ending US missiles to al-Tanf is (part of a) US (plan) to create a small ISIL state along the Syrian, Iraqi and Jordanian borders to separate Syria from Iraq and Iran, and turn it into a marginalized country which doesn’t play any role in the region.”

A similar scheme is planned for northern Syria to separate it from Damascus control – part of a diabolical US plot to destroy the country’s sovereignty.

Tillerson Endorses Regime Change in Iran

Tillerson Endorses Regime Change in Iran | rex-tillerson | Politics War Propaganda World News

Saying “(o)ur Iranian policy is under development,” Tillerson responded affirmatively when asked if the Trump administration supports regime change in Iran.

Washington relies on “elements inside” the country to pursue its objectives, Tillerson explained.

In 2009, after its June election, days of US-orchestrated street protests followed – a so-called “green revolution” attempt to replace its government with a pro-Western puppet one, CIA dirty hands involved in the failed scheme.

Decades of US efforts to transform the Islamic Republic into a subservient client state consistently failed. Does Trump intend another attempt?

Tillerson said the administration’s Iranian policy hasn’t yet been presented to the president. He lied claiming “we certainly recognize Iran’s continued destabilizing presence in the region, their payment of foreign fighters, their export of militia forces in Syria, in Iraq, in Yemen, their support for Hezbollah.”

“And we are taking action to respond to Iran’s hegemony. Additional sanctions actions have been put in place against individuals and others.”

“We continually review the merits both from the standpoint of diplomatic but also international consequences of designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in its entirety as a terrorist organization.”

“Our policy towards Iran is to push back on this hegemony, contain their ability to develop obviously nuclear weapons, and to work toward support of those elements inside of Iran that would lead to a peaceful transition of that government. Those elements are there, certainly as we know.”

On Thursday, Tillerson’s predecessor John Kerry said unnamed Middle East leaders pressured Obama to bomb Iran – likely Netanyahu and the Saudi family dictatorship.

“Leaders in the region were saying to me personally and to…Obama (to) bomb these guys…We were hurtling toward conflict,” Kerry said.

Maybe Trump intends crossing un unthinkable red line, Russia likely getting involved if he does, maybe China as well. Attacking Iran would amount to a major escalation of global conflict.

Responding to the threat, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi called Tillerson’s remarks “interventionist, in gross violation of the compelling rules of international law, unacceptable and strongly condemned.”

“Since the 1950s, the United States tried to meddle in Iranian affairs by different strategies such as coup d’etat, regime change, and military intervention.”

Iran is the region’s leading proponent of peace and stability. America’s ruthless agenda is polar opposite.

Surprise, Goyim, Surprise: Analysts Now Expect American Soldiers To Spend Generations In Afghanistan

Surprise, Goyim, Surprise: Analysts Now Expect American Soldiers To Spend Generations In Afghanistan | AP-Photo-of-Afghan-Suicide-Bombing | Government Corruption Military Sleuth Journal Special Interests US News War Propaganda

Didn’t Donald Trump promise us a total withdrawal of American military forces from foolish bases around the globe- or at least a large reduction in the number of soldiers wasting time and resources on a daily basis?

Like, I even recall him briefly mentioning a departure from South Korea, Japan, and the possibility of granting Germany back their sovereignty – he alluded to seventy years of occupation as being long enough.

As for Afghanistan, it should be plainly evident that the only contributions Americans have given the area involve horrid corruption within the puppet regimes, a massive increase in opium production (the Taliban actually stopped the drug trade on many levels), and easy tickets to the United States for hordes of barbarian Moslem “refugees.”

But perhaps if we fight for another thirty years or so, we’ll at last obtain victory – just keep hoping and keep dying, White Man.

From RT:

Americans may stay on Afghan soil for a “long-haul” mission that could evolve into several decades of “generational struggle,” General David Petraeus, ex-commander of US troops in Afghanistan, admitted.

The current war in Afghanistan is unlikely to end in the foreseeable future, David Petraeus, who led the US military campaign there back in the 2000s, told PBS News Hour.

Though the retired General argued that “we went there for a reason and we stayed for a reason,” to defeat Al-Qaeda following the 9/11 attacks, he hinted that “a generational struggle” may unfold in the war-ravaged country.

“This is not something that is going to be won in a few years. We’re not going to take a hill, plant a flag, go home to a victory parade,” he said. “And we need to be there for the long haul, but in a way, that is, again, sustainable,” he added.

To back his remarkable statement, he cited other examples of US deployments in other parts of the world that have lasted decades.

“We have been in Korea for 65-plus years because there is an important national interest for that,” Petraeus said.

However, Petraeus “doesn’t think the US involvement will last that long” in Afghanistan.

The general argued “I think we should not approach this as a year-on-year mission,” noting that this kind of tentativeness gives Afghan leaders “the jitters.”

Embrace the feelings of primitive goat herders, Goyim.

Embrace their worries and their sorrows the come from the thought that White Americans will no longer stay in their country to have their legs blown off and their intestines strewn all over the ground.

The interview was released as media reports have emerged indicating that the Trump administration is preparing to deploy an additional 4,000 troops in Afghanistan to train the nation’s army and battle the resurging Taliban. The figure, though sizeable, nonetheless pales compared to the previous number of troops stationed in Afghanistan, which reached 100,000 at peak times.

Petraeus, who commanded the US troops and NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) from 2010 to 2011, insisted “it did actually turn back the Taliban.”

However, he then took a more measured tone, saying, “as I said, we are not going to permanently win this.”

Wait, what?

If there is no conceivable chance to win the war (and the Taliban is in fact stronger than ever before thanks to American involvement), why would a nation wish to keep troops fighting into the middle of the century?

One of the great unanswered questions of our time, that’s for sure.

Civilians Harmed Most in US War Theaters

Civilians Harmed Most in US War Theaters | war | Military Special Interests World News

[image: Odd Andersen/Agence France-Presse via Getty Images]

Massacring civilians in US war theaters, deceptively called “collateral damage,” is perhaps the last refuge of ruthless imperial warmaking.

Civilians are harmed most in all wars, notably America’s – millions of lives lost post-9/11 alone, high crimes ignored in the mainstream.

Sociologist Emile Durkheim once said, “(t)he immorality of war depends entirely on the leaders who willed it.”

In America, it’s bipartisan complicity – top administration and Pentagon officials, along with Congress funding lawless aggression.

In his opening Nuremberg address, Justice Robert Jackson denounced the “men who possess themselves of great power and make deliberative and concerted use of it to set in motion evils which leave no home in the world untouched.”

He called them “men of station and rank (who don’t) soil (their) hands with blood.” They use “lesser folk” to do their dirty work, committing crimes of war and against humanity to enhance their status and privilege – the human toll of no consequence.

International, constitutional and US statute laws are flagrantly violated in all American wars – of choice, not in self-defense post-WW II, naked aggression each time waged.

Under the 1907 Hague Regulations, Fourth Geneva, Geneva’s Common Article III, and other international laws, civilians are protected persons.

So is civilian property and other nonmilitary-related sites. Attacking them is prohibited. War crimes are clearly defined. Principles of distinction and proportionality apply as follows:

Distinction refers to distinguishing between combatants and military targets v. civilians and non-military ones. Attacking latter ones are war crimes except when civilians take direct part in hostilities.

Proportionality prohibits disproportionate, indiscriminate force, likely to cause damage or loss of lives.

Precautions must be taken to avoid and minimize incidental loss of civilian lives, injuries, and damage to non-military sites.

Under Fourth Geneva, noncombatants must be given “effective advance warning” and “neutralized zones” to be as protected as possible.

In all its war theaters, America flagrantly violates core laws on what’s prohibited in combat – committing naked aggression and high crimes against peace in all its conflicts.

Activist Vanessa Beeley spent much time in Syria, witnessing firsthand the horrors of Washington’s war, noting “the hypocrisy” in plain sight “from the US(-led) coalition.”

Terror-bombing Raqqa alone caused a “staggering loss of civilian life,” according to the UN Commission of Inquiry on the Syria war.

It remains ongoing, likely the worst to come, including use of white phosphorous able to burn flesh to the bone on contact, cluster bombs, depleted uranium and other banned weapons.

Beeley: “What we are seeing in Raqqa is no attempt to protect civilians” – the same horrors ongoing for months in and around Mosul, Iraq, thousands of civilians massacred in cold blood, by terror-bombing and US-supported ISIS terrorists.

America wages wars for conquest, dominance and profit. Claiming humanitarian intervention and democracy building justification are despicable Big Lies. Supported by media scoundrels compounds them.

US-led terror-bombing in all its war theaters flagrantly violates core rule of law principles.

Asked if a greater bloodbath in Raqqa than already is likely, Beeley explained it’s hard to know “because it is very hard to determine exactly how many civilians” remain in the city. So many were displaced by warfare.

The horror of what’s ongoing in all US war theaters is virtually unreported in the West.

High crimes are suppressed. Most Americans know nothing about the dark side of US imperial aggression – endlessly waged for power and profits, no other reasons.

Russia to Treat US Jets in Syria as ‘Targets’ After America Guns Down First Regime Warplane

Russia to Treat US Jets in Syria as 'Targets' After America Guns Down First Regime Warplane | F-18-super-hornet-AFP-2 | Military Sleuth Journal Special Interests US News War Propaganda World News

By: Middle East Eye |

Russia on Monday said it would track as “targets” any US-led coalition planes operating west of the Euphrates river in Syria, and condemned the shooting down of a Syrian government plane by US forces.

The US shot down a Syrian air force Su-22 over Tabqa – 55km west of Raqqa city – on Sunday, saying the plane was threatening allies from the Syrian Democratic Forces as they fought intense ground battles with Syrian government allies around Raqqa.

Any flying objects discovered west of the Euphrates river will be tracked as aerial targets by Russia’s air defences

– Russian defence ministry

Russia’s deputy defence minister, Sergei Ryabkov, said the incident was an “act of aggression”. His ministry said the act voided a cooperation deal and that a military hotline for avoiding incidents in Syrian airspace had been suspended.

“The command of the coalition forces did not use the established communication channel for preventing incidents in Syrian airspace,” the defence ministry said in a statement.

As a result, it now “ends cooperation with the American side from 19 June based on a memorandum for prevention of incidents and ensuring safety of air flights during operations in Syria, and demands a careful investigation by the US command” of the downing.

“Any flying objects, including planes and drones of the international coalition, discovered west of the Euphrates river will be tracked as aerial targets by Russia’s air defences on and above ground,” it said.

US DEFENDS DOWNING OF SYRIAN JET

The US on Sunday defended the downing of the Syrian jet.

“In accordance with rules of engagement and in collective self-defence of coalition-partnered forces, (the Syrian jet) was immediately shot down by a US F/A-18E Super Hornet,” it said.

It said it had “contacted its Russian counterparts by telephone via an established ‘de-confliction line’ to de-escalate the situation and stop the firing”.

It said it did did not seek “to fight the Syrian regime, Russian or pro-regime forces” but would not “hesitate to defend itself or its partnered forces from any threat”.

The SDF on Monday said it would be “forced to retaliate” if the Syrian government continued attacking its positions around Raqqa.

“The regime’s forces…have mounted large-scale attacks using planes, artillery, and tanks,” SDF spokesman Talal Selo said in a statement.

“If the regime continues attacking our positions in Raqqa province, we will be forced to retaliate…and defend our forces.”

The escalation comes as Syria’s six-year-old war becomes ever more complex, with US forces and their allies converging on the northern IS bastion of Raqqa in close proximity to Russian-backed government troops.

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces – an alliance of Kurdish and Arab fighters – is battling to oust the militants from Raqqa, and broke into the IS stronghold city last week.

Government forces are not involved in the battle for Raqqa, but they are advancing in an area southwest of the city, skirting around SDF fighters to target Deir Ezzor.

The US-led coalition has in recent weeks escalated its aerial bombing campaign in northern Syria and Raqqa province.

America’s Forever War Strategy

America’s Forever War Strategy | american-flag-military-wars | Government War Propaganda

America is unique among history’s warrior states – prioritizing endless wars, not ending them to achieve a new era of peace and stability.

The notion is anathema to the nation’s military, industrial, and scoundrel media establishment. Wars are waged for power and profits, no other reasons.

All post-WW II US wars were and continue to be acts of naked aggression against nations threatening no one – raping and destroying them, the human cost incalculable, the villainy unprecedented.

Throughout its history, America has been perpetually at war at home and/or abroad, never a time of peace and stability – a shocking indictment of its abhorrent agenda, the nation a democracy in name only.

Its high crimes against humanity continue endlessly in multiple theaters, wars against other targeted nations to be launched at its discretion – unthinkable nuclear war the greatest risk to our survival.

In Tuesday testimony before Senate Armed Services Committee members, Defense Secretary James Mattis said America isn’t winning in Afghanistan – nor anywhere else he failed to explain.

He promised a new Afghan war strategy by mid-July. It’s no different from the old one. Here it is before announced:

Continue endless war. Get Congress to appropriate tens of billions more dollars for a lost cause. Claim slow and steady progress.

Later in the face of continued failure, promise another new course, much more money needed to pursue it.

Joint Chiefs Chairman General Joseph (“fighting Joe”) Dunford lied to Senate Armed Services Committee members, claiming America’s “competitive advantage is eroding…limiting our ability to project power.”

US military spending exceeds what all other NATO members, Russia and China spend combined, with all categories included, including black budgets – more than $1.5 trillion annually, the so-called defense budget one part of it.

The Pentagon and related budgets should be sharply slashed, not increased, America’s empire of bases dismantled, a new era of peace declared – for the first time in US history, swords turned into plowshares.

A polar opposite agenda is pursued. Permanent war is longstanding US policy, bipartisan-supported out-of-control militarism – at the expense of vital homeland needs, social justice and a nation fit to live in, drowning in hubris and arrogance, along with contempt for democratic values and rule of law principles.

No nation caused more harm to more people over a longer duration. None more greatly threatens humanity’s survival.

Endless wars define US policy – waged against invented enemies because real ones don’t exist. The late Gore Vidal’s “Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace” explained how America became so reviled.

On America’s Middle East wars, he said “I don’t see us winning. We have made enemies of one billion Muslims.”

He explained America is “rotting away at a funereal pace. We’ll have a military dictatorship pretty soon, on the basis that nobody else can hold everything together.”

Peace is a nonstarter. It’s always been this way, notably post-9/11. The vast majority of House and Senate members support America’s imperial war agenda – including self-styled progressive Bernie Sanders.

They glorify them, falsely portraying them as humanitarian intervention and democracy building, ignoring the appalling human toll – genocide by any standard.

If a way isn’t found to end America’s imperial agenda, it’ll end us.

US-Led Coalition Using Banned Weapons

US-Led Coalition Using Banned Weapons | weapons-in-Mosul | World News

In earlier US wars, chemical, biological, radiological and other banned weapons were used, including cluster bombs and white phosphorous.

WP dates from WW II, later in Southeast Asia and subsequent US wars. It’s an incendiary terror weapon known as Willie Pete, self-igniting, burns quickly with devastating consequences.

It burns flesh to the bone, keeps burning until entirely consumed or deprived of oxygen. The Hague and Geneva Conventions categorically prohibit chemical warfare, including toxic terror agents like WP.

Yet America and its rogue allies use them repeatedly, including in Iraq and Syria, how often isn’t clear. Newly released videos show these weapons used in Mosul and northern Syria, individuals in targeted areas being slaughtered.

CENTCOM spokesman Col. Ryan Dillon refused to confirm or deny use of this weapon – except to say when used it’s in “accordance with the law of armed conflict,” adding:

WP rounds are “used for screening, obscuring, and marking in a way that fully considers the possible incidental effects on civilians and civilian structures.”

“The coalition takes all reasonable precautions to minimize the risk of incidental injury to non-combatants and damage to civilian structures.”

Facts on the ground from eyewitnesses and independent reports reveal otherwise. US aggression in Iraq and Syria is responsible for thousands of civilian deaths, how many from WP and other banned weapons unknown.

Video footage from the Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently activist group shows signature WP airbursts, likely from M825 series and 155mm artillery rounds – the safety and security of civilians in harm’s way ignored.

In March, Pentagon photographs of marine M777 howitzers in northern Syria showed WP munitions being used. Identical ones are used in Mosul.

If rounds explode high enough above ground, the fallout covers a great distance, igniting fires over a wide area.

If explode over populated areas like Mosul or Raqqa, they’re likely devastating to defenseless civilians. US-directed Iraqi forces claiming WP is used to protect civilians is a bald-faced lie.

They’re being massacred relentlessly on the phony pretext of combating ISIS America and its rogue allies support.

Using terror weapons like WP compound the high crimes being committed in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and elsewhere.

Trump Lets Mattis Decide on Troop Levels in US War Theaters

Trump Lets Mattis Decide on Troop Levels in US War Theaters | mattis | Military Trump US News

Straightaway in office, Trump delegated warmaking to hawkish generals – Defense Secretary Mattis, National Security Advisor McMaster and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dunford in charge, assuring endless wars continue.

Battlefield decisions were delegated to local commanders, including drone strikes and special operations missions in countries where America is not officially at war.

Trump administration militarism and warmaking are more muscular than his predecessors. Diplomacy gets short shrift.

Pentagon and intelligence community power holds the Trump administration, Congress and the courts hostage.

Diplomacy is relegated to show. Tillerson has no say over geopolitical policymaking.

A nuclear war could start without Trump, civilian cabinet members, and congressional leaders’ knowledge and involvement until they’re told.

With Pentagon commanders and intelligence community bosses in charge of warmaking and other key geopolitical issues, a potential nightmarish scenario could unfold.

In April, the Pentagon said Trump gave Mattis broad authority to set US troop levels in Iraq and Syria.

After Obama promised no US boots on the ground in both countries, thousands of special forces and other combat troops were deployed.

In March, Mattis ordered another 2,500 82nd Airborne Division and other US combat troops sent to Kuwait for possible deployment to Iraq or Syria – on the phony pretext of combating ISIS America created and supports.

On Tuesday, reports indicate Trump gave Mattis authority to determine US troop strength in Afghanistan.

Thousands more are likely to be deployed to continue the nation’s longest war, long ago lost with no prospect of reversing things no matter how many additional forces are sent to try.

Increasing US troop strength in Afghanistan is the latest example of Trump delegating warmaking authority to neocon generals, eager for endless conflicts and large increases in America’s so-called “defense” budget.

In Tuesday Senate Armed Services Committee testimony, Mattis said “(w)e are not winning in Afghanistan…(W)e will correct this as soon as possible.”

His aim isn’t winning. It’s waging endless wars – in Afghanistan and elsewhere, getting Congress to supply tens of billions of dollars more for militarism and warmaking.

Since Washington launched naked aggression on Afghanistan in October 2001, thousands of US and other NATO forces were killed or wounded.

Millions of Afghans perished from war, related violence, preventable diseases, starvation and overall deprivation.

With over 100,000 US troops in Afghanistan in 2011, their peak number, the war was a lost cause.

It’s no different now or as far ahead as anyone dares imagine.

Over half a million forces in Vietnam when US troop levels peaked couldn’t defeat Hanoi’s redoubtable resistance.

Nor will any numbers sent to Afghanistan fare better – the war lost years ago, yet fighting continues endlessly.

Serbia Suing NATO for 1999 High Crimes

Serbia Suing NATO for 1999 High Crimes | NATO | Environment NATO War Propaganda World News

Lawyers representing the Serbian Royal Academy of Scientists and Artists are preparing to sue each of the then-20 NATO member countries – not through the International Court of Justice (ICJ), in national courts of each offending country.

Serbian lawyer Srdjan Aleksic explained, saying “(w)e believe that this is within the competence of national courts. These states violated the principles set forth in the seventh chapter of the UN Charter, which prohibits aggression against any state.”

“In addition, NATO has violated chapters 5 and 6 of its own charter, since NATO is a defensive alliance, and not an offensive one.”

“This is about a violation of international law, in particular conventions, which prohibit aggression and the use of force against sovereign states,” adding:

US-led NATO warplanes “dropped from 10 to 15 tons of depleted uranium on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.”

“The increase in the number of cancer patients has caused serious concerns. Malignant tumors are found annually in 33,000 Serbian citizens.”

“Every day this terrible disease is diagnosed at least in one child in our country. Compared with 1999, the number of cancer patients has increased by five times, primarily in the south of Serbia, as well as Kosovo and Metohija.”

The lawsuit also intends addressing the use of illegal cluster bombs, along with enormous environmental damage caused.

The US-led war begun on March 24, 1999 lasted 78 days, ending on June 10, causing enormous human suffering, along with widespread damage to vital infrastructure, the economy, residential neighbors and other non-military related sites.

Cities, villages and other areas were struck throughout the country, lawless aggression against a defenseless nation. Horrendous crimes of war and against humanity were committed, causing an enormous human toll.

Claims about humanitarian intervention were fabricated. Washington claimed another imperial trophy. The former Yugoslavia no longer exists.

An estimated $100 billion in damage was inflicted, environmental contamination extensive.

Large numbers were killed, injured or displaced. Two million people lost their livelihoods -many their homes and communities, most their futures.

Serbia’s sovereign Kosovo territory was lost. It’s now US/NATO occupied territory, home to Camp Bondsteel, one of America’s largest military bases.

Stop NATO’s Rick Rozoff calls the alliance “the first attempt in history to establish an aggressive global military formation” – comprising one-third of world nations as members or partners on five continents.

NATO’s first three wars of aggression occurred in the former Yugoslavia – in 1995, Operation Deliberate Force against the Republika Srpska, in 1999 against Serbia and Kosovo, in 2001 the first of several assaults on Macedonia – all preceding 9/11.

Endless US-led NATO war on humanity followed the mother of all false flags, currently raging.

Operation Desert Storm in 1991, genocidal sanctions that followed, along with raping Yugoslavia was prelude for endless horrors to come.
